Guest guest
Hi Amy, Strange as it sounds, you may actually be on a better pathway than most Nero's will take you down. It is sad but really true. I try and reach as many people as possible and let them know there might be a better way for them. If you have not yet received the welcome e-mail please let me know and I will send it out right away. Best of luck Aletha [low dose naltrexone] New to the group & my 2 cents on weight loss > Hello everyone, > > I am 30 years old, have 2 young girls (3 & 20 months) and was diagnosed > with RRMS this > past year. My main relapse symptom is numbness that starts in one area and spreads to a portion of my body then slowly goes away during the next two months. But my biggest complaint is fatigue and mood swings. I typically feel my energy take a dive around lunch time even when I am able to lay down to rest and I can be in a great mood one minute then something stresses me out or irritates me and I am a major grouch for days afterward. I haven't started taking LDN yet but I am really hopeful it will help even out my energy and moods. I am so tired of being irritable and I know it is affecting my girls. I am also nervous about taking it. Doctors are the ones that go to school to learn how to treat people and here I am doing a little reading on the internet and thinking I might know more. Regarding the weight loss discussion. Someone mentioned that they were also on the best bet diet. I've been following the diet in the " Gold Coast Cure " which is basically the Swank diet but it takes it a little further with whole grains, no processed sugar/flour and good oils (olive oil, expeller pressed oils) since October '05. I've only lost 8 pounds but I wasn't that big to begin with but I've gone down 2 clothing sizes. I haven't been this size since I was 16. Keeping your saturated fats low definitely makes a huge difference. I hope I don't loose any more after LDN; I don't want to waste away to nothing. :-) It has been great reading everyone's posts. Thank you for all the information and for sharing your experiences. Amy
Guest guest
Hi Have you tried DLP (2 enzymes). It did wonders for my husbands depression which did not go away with anything else, and has not come back since he started it. It also gives him a bit more energy. You can get it on the net or the vitamin store. The best is from Solaray. It should not be used if you have high blood pressure or cancer. takes 500mg in the morning on an empty stomach. It is suggested to also take one in the afternoon on an empty stomach too. Guest guest
Aletha, I have not yet received the welcome letter and would greatly appreciated. After doing a lot of reading about diet & MS, I ask my first neurologist about what he thought. He just said it had nothing to do with it. No conversation nothing. Needless to say I no longer see him. I don't understand why it is so hard to find a doctor who will be your partner instead of just dictating. Thank you for the response, Amy
Guest guest
I thought it was strange myself. I mean I can understand his point of not wanting to prescribe something that has had no clinical proof, however, he is a research doctor attached to a university. So don't you think all the anadotal evidence would make him curious? He had no problem suggesting a study which is testing Avenox and Copaxone toghether. --- In low dose naltrexone , chris bowes <sens4life2002@y...> wrote: > > you know its funny how most speacialists are against > ldn or what nothing to do with it espeacially here in > canada, but iv'e allways been the kind off person who > does what i want so i started the ldn a month ago but
