Can you point me to the original post/link on the bar of soap issue please?

When I first read the post I said to myself, “Yeah, sure, a bar of soap, ha !â€. Unfortunately I did not have any Ivory soap so I asked my wife if she had anything other than Dove in the house. She came up with this awful smelly soap that was given to her as a gift. It was a fragrance that the ladies probably like but since it was all that was available, I tried it.

I put one bar on the inside of my right knee and the other bar above (but touching) my left shoulder. It is incredible! The past 3 nights I have gone to bed and have actually been able to sleep without pain. The pain is still there but is a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10 where prior to the soap, it was a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. My wife had a pain in her leg so I gave her a bar of the soap and it also helped her.

So there you have it. That is my story and I am sticking to it.

I do not have spasm problems but I do have

pain in my left shoulder and right knee that gets unbelievably painful at times,

especially when I go to bed. There are times when the pain in my shoulder

causes me to double up: it’s as though someone is giving me an

electric shock to my shoulder. A heating pad seems to help so I have a

heating pad in my family room where I watch television and I have a heating pad

in my bed. They are on practically all the time because I seem to have

constant pain.

When I first read the post I said to

myself, “Yeah, sure, a bar of soap, ha !”. Unfortunately I

did not have any Ivory soap so I asked my wife if she had anything other than

Dove in the house. She came up with this awful smelly soap that was given

to her as a gift. It was a fragrance that the ladies probably like but

since it was all that was available, I tried it.

I am sorry but I do not have the

information you are requesting. I can only tell you that about 10 days

ago, someone sent a post indicating that if you sleep with a bar of soap placed

in the area where there is spasticity, that it will relieve the pain.

Someone else wrote and asked, “What kind of soap?”. The

answer was: “anything but Dove or Dial”. Someone else

wrote and asked if you take the wrapper off the soap, which I thought was

humorous. Yes…take the wrapper off.

That is all I can tell you.

I sent the post to everyone about the bar of soap. Any bar except dial or dove. Why this works no one knows. Just try it! Dr. Gott from our Fresno bee paper tells about it in his column. So I looked it up on the web. It was there. Good luck. It works for me. God bless all.

THanks for this. DO you happen to have a link to that story in your paper and Dr Gott's first name?

I put a half bar of ivory soap in my socks before going to sleep at

night. It has stopped or made tolerable the painful and debilitating

leg and foot cramps. A google search on leg cramps and ivory soap or

similar such search words should get you more information.
