Guest guest
, I am the Rehab Director at an LTAC, who receives very complex wounds and sends some of these patients to SNF;s when appropriate. You are so right that the creams and systems used are costly. The best advice I have is that you get good data for using the expensive stuff and include how it is used as well as when. If you are part of a network, getting the wound care experts together to decide on a service and debrider formulary that becomes your standards for wound care is your best course. If wound vacs cannot be safely or appropriately handled by the staff you have, clearly state this to your clinical operations manager. I hope this helps!! > >Reply-To: ptmanageregroups >To: " PTManager (E-mail) " <ptmanageregroups> >Subject: Wounds, reimbursement & Continuum of Care >Date: Mon, 25 Sep 2000 08:25:45 -0500 > >I run a SNF Unit that is part of a hospital.
