I found this in my files and thought you

might like to read it.  I wrote this in

2001 when I was helping t raise funds for the MS Society.  You probably can relate to this also.  Joan

I

REMEMBER

  I

remember –

            Hiking

ten miles –

                        Riding

my bike –

                                    Shopping

‘til I drop –

                                                Walking

the beach –

                                                            Singing

solos –

                                                                        Dancing

in the dark!  - BUT

Something’s

different inside my head

I

am forced to take a different path,

To

sing a different tune,

I

see a sunset and rejoice,

I

hear a bird and savor its melody,

The

soft wet kiss of a grandchild eases what might have been,

Day

by day I see God’s miracles all around me,

Each

day is a new gift from God,

A

day to give thanks,

A

day to count my blessings,

For

eyes – to see

For

ears – to hear

For

a heart – to love

God

will provide!
