Guest guest
Meg, I must reply to your comments about a doctor holding back info that may upset a parent. i am sure you will be inundated with replies from parents who didn't get the " whole " story. The way I see it is that I am paying someone for a service. They are therefor obligated to give me the FULL disclosure of information that i am seeking. I have never recieved a bill from a physician stating that it is under my discretion as to how much i want to pay, or more importantly, how much I THINK they should receive. If I don't recieve the information I went in for, then the whole visit was just a huge waste of time. I am trying to make this post as short as possible without going into the hundreds of stories of how I have been wronged only to have to go to another doctor to get what information I already PAID the first doctor to tell me. I am now actually in the middle of repeating all the neuro tests that were already performed 4 years ago, when i was told they were normal, but apparently are not. I don't mean to " attack " you like this but it is something that I, and I am sure many others feel very strongly about. I will decide what I can handle. I don't need someone else deciding for me. Especially after they have taken a huge consultation fee from me!!! Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I enjoyed meeting you at the Boston Conference. I know that you are a wonderful and caring woman and look forward to seeing you in Texas.
