Mark,

I bought the book that this survey comes from and it is excellent. I had no

idea that yeast could cause some of the problem that I have been having. I

have begun to take some of the actions in the book and noticed improvements

in very short order.

- What improvements have you noticed? Could you go into some detail? I

just ordered the book from Amazon.com. Looking forward to reading it asap.

---, I was told by my Dr. (and any one can tell me if this is

true or not) but there are many kinds of strains of yeast and some

even feed off the toxins that candida leave behind when they die off,

possibly increasing another strains virility. That is why it is a good

idea to use pro-biotics that work for different strains. /Dana

anyone?

Do I have this right?

Hello everyone, I just wanted you to know I just got

some of the THREELAC supplement over the internet to

see if it helps with the excessive yeast. I did the

spit in saliva test and it showed strings ,etc, so I

figured I'd try this. I was wondering if anyone else

has tried this stuff and what were the results? It's

expensive, but if it works and I don't have to give up

all breads, salad dressings, ketchup, tarter sauce,

beer, wine all the time, it would be worth it.You

would be surprised ,everything has yeast in it,

almost. Reasons for doing this, is so the LDN will

work better for us. keep you posted.

HI ,

I took the saliva test which showed candida (as i suspected) But

within a week of altering diet my saliva test showed me to be

candida free, which I find hard to believe.I tried also the

homeopathic remendies which I was not convinced by. My thought is

that without long term diet change the candida will remain. Please

let us know how you do. I'd love to hear a sucess story...

Hi ,

I took Threelac for a few months last year. I have CFS and

fibromyalgia, and tested positive in the spit test. Threelac is no

more a 'magic cure' than anything else, and, contrary to what some

websites who are selling it will tell you, will not have any effect

unless you combine it with a low carb, low sugar and yeast-free diet!

It may work this way to clear up a bit of thrush in an otherwise

healthy person, but we are sick people, and half mesures do not work.

It is expensive, and you will just waste your money unless you have

some restrictions in your diet. I found the advice and guidelines at

www.candidafree.net vey useful. Threelac +diet did help my candida

overgrowth but no miracle cure I'm afraid.

Take care,

GOd bless,

Kathy,

Low carb dieting is the number 1 fighter of candida and adding these supplements

compliment the diet...

Kyolic Garlic--lots of it

Oil of Oregano

Acidophilus

Caprylic Acid

Grapefruit Seed Extract

Black Walnut Hull

Eating pickled foods(dill pickles, sourkraut, ect.), broccoli,

garlic

help control yeast and candida...but...well, there's a downside to

this

diet. Gas can become more frequent *blushes*

There's lots of other stuff too, Yogurt is AWESOME in controlling

candida. In fact, a friend of mine said that dannon is starting to

sell a new yogurt with a LOT of cultures. It says if you eat two of

the yogurt cups a day for two weeks, you'll feel a noticable

difference in your digestive track. This yogurt sounds like it is

specifically for candida overgrowth. Downside, it's VERY exspensive.

My friend was unable to afford it(it costs a little over two dollars

a

day to do it). We work together, and both of us aren't paid enough

to

be that spendy! But, if anyone here sees and and can afford it, let

us

know how it goes! Of course..I would have more success on my candid

control...if I could give up carbs *cries*. I just don't have the

will

power(I don't eat a lot of meat, and my food is very rarely

fried...only this past week have I been eating a lot of fried

foods...*so sick*. I am craving hamburger meat...and I don't have

the

heart to deal with cooking meat if it is only just for me....too

much

of a hassle), I have been hitting the burger places more than I have

in years this past two weeks. I got a lot of blood tests done

recently, so I think I

am just craving the meat in response to that.

ANYWAYS....getting off track, sorry. If you like yogurt and pickles,

or garlic, or sourkraut(I am sorry for mispelling this), try adding

some to your diet each day. I make sure to have at least one yogurt,

and two to four baby pickles a day. I also take the garlic powder

mentioned. It helps.

Have a great day all! I am off to another store for a few days of

whipping some folks into shape...no computer, so I won't be writing

for a while.

*remembers she doesn't write much anyways*

Nevermind.....^_^

You can get a product called primal; defense that has millions of beneficial

probiotics ( human soil organisms) cheaper than the yogurt. They have 30%

off from the vitamin shoppe.

I took primal denfense once a long time ago...I can't remember why I

stopped...but I think it was the directions. Is that the one where you

have to take it like, 1 hour BEFORE you eat each meal with a certain

amount of water? If it was, I couldn't do it. I have to drink so much

water as it is (at least 8 ounces every hour), and then there's the

whole 'I never know when I get my lunchbreak...sneak a bite here and

there thing'. I kept missing a pill because my meals were so sporatic,

and I couldn't take it with the pills I already took??? I don't know.

Thanks for the information. I will dig deep into my memory and see if

I can figure out what happened...I will have to ask my dad and see.

Thanks again!

It's real simple. You take one at night and increase as slowly as you like

until you feel like you are cleansed and you go to a maintenance dosage of

one or two a day. It can constipate you initially but not always. it also

makes you eliminate black at first so don't be frightened. Kathy

Oh, then what I took must have been something else. Constipation is

not a problem for me...just the opposite(reason for all the water).

So, I welcome products that threaten such cause(although...still

doesn't help...sigh). Next time I go to health shop...I think I will

check out the price. Thanks for your help! *is now wondering what it

was that she actually WAS taking...*
