Guest guest
I had no idea tubes could get blocked. I am just now realizing this subject is very important to me. Jillian still has fluid in her ears almost always even with tubes, The last time the doc looked in, there was soooo much fluid, she couldn't tell if the tube was still there. It's always that way in her little ear. ( I call her ears big ear and little ear instaed of left and right because it is easier for me and Jeff to remember which ear at which time to put drops in), He will ask " Right or left? " And I answer " little " or Big " , so thats how we do it now. Foley PS How do you check if it's blocked?
Guest guest
, I wish I did have some answers... Dawn was about 8 before she'd sit still and let them do it.. breaking every bone in my hand while they were at it (she did actually leave bruises on my hand a couple times). She's 20 now and still hates the idea of having to have it done... Casey charge@... minnow@... Mom to Dawn 20, Ken 9 ADHD, and 6 CHARGE. Guest guest
Casey and everyone whose child has had their ears sucked out: I've never ever heard of this procedure!! Kendra has had more sets of tubes than I can remember. In fact she has a new ear infection diagnosed today even though she has tubes. SO, it has never been suggested that she have her ears sucked out and now after reading about this a couple of times today I'm really curious. How long does it take and do new tubes have to be inserted following the 'sucking out'? You're not talking about the process in the OR are you? Guest guest
, It's a vacuum thingy. . done in the ENT's office. doesn't suck out the tubes.. just the gunk... Dawn gets it done when the crap in her ears is real thick and doesn't drain easy.. Which for her is every time she gets an infection. Casey charge@... minnow@...
