Guest guest
Hi , Many of those on this site have been in the same or similar situation. LDN is wonderful for most people and definitely worth giving a try. I will send you a " welcome e-mail " in a moment. Hang in there, help is on the way. Guest guest
Hi again, Aletha! I suspect you missed a couple of points in Dave's email... Dave, if you aren't aware, it is not recommended to take an interferon therapy with LDN. We suggest you either quit Avonex when you startup on LDN, or switch to Copaxone as your neurologist's treatment, then add LDN. I switched to Copaxone years ago because it gave me none of the dreadful side effects (headaches, exhaustion, etc) of the interferons. Anyone can obtain Naltrexone without a prescription from www.medsmex.com in Mexico (trade name Revia), then dilute the 50mg capsules in 50mls of distilled water, drawing up either 3.0 or 4.5mls into a measured dropper for your nightly dose. That's what I'm doing, dosing nightly with my Copaxone. Guest guest
, Please excuse my language but your doctor sounds like an a$$h01e! No " doctor " should ever make you feel like this. Have you had a blood test to check your liver enzymes? This test should be done the first month after you start Avonex, Beta-seron or Rebif. http://www.webmd.com/content/article/102/106608.htm Here is a website for the info that I am refering to. A lot of docs don't realize that you are supposed to get tested regularly..... My first Neurologist was the same way and by the time I got to my second Neuro...my Enzymes had climbed to over 1300....they are supposed to be on average around 100 I believe. Anyway I hope this info can help you make a decision on what you should do next. 2 --- dga431 <dga431@...> wrote: > i was prescribed with avonex...have been taking for > two months with > less then satisfactory results as a matter of fact i > feel i am walking > worse > steroids have not worked either they have just > caused restleness I have > had 3MRIS IN THE PAST YEAR and my neuro has given me > no hope to go on > how do i obtain LDN without a prescription? m.s. > has started to > affect my motor skills also > i need help please > > > david > > > > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Rae, You are right, I did not address the Avonex issue or the directions on how to get LDN without a prescription on the e-mail. I had sent a copy of the "welcome e-mail" that should contain that information. Take care Aletha [low dose naltrexone] just recently diagnosed with m.s>i was prescribed with avonex...have been taking for two months with> less then satisfactory results as a matter of fact i feel i am walking> worse> steroids have not worked either they have just caused restleness I have> had 3MRIS IN THE PAST YEAR and my neuro has given me no hope to go on> how do i obtain LDN without a prescription? m.s. has started to> affect my motor skills also> i need help please>>> david>>>>>>>>
Guest guest
Aletha Is your Welcome Package uploaded to the FILES section of this group? That way, people can just go there and download it and save you some time. mjh Date: Thu, 9 Mar 2006 17:05:22 -0800 From: "Aletha Wittmann" <Aletha@...>Subject: Re: just recently diagnosed with m.sHi Rae,You are right, I did not address the Avonex issue or the directions on how to get LDN without a prescription on the e-mail. Guest guest
Hi MJH, I don't know how to do that, and I am not certain everyone would know to download it from there. But I am happy to do both if you would not mind sending me detailed instructions. Thanks very much Aletha Re: just recently diagnosed with m.sHi Rae,You are right, I did not address the Avonex issue or the directions on how to get LDN without a prescription on the e-mail. Guest guest
Aletha, It easy. You just go to the files section of the group and it walks you through the rest. If you have trouble I could always do it for you. You could just point people to the files section when they need a packet.
