Its a stupid system when I sit here day dreaming about things like this (see below)........

If I had MS and no one would prescribe LDN for me, I would almost likely start drinking and become and alcoholic. Then I could get a prescription for ReVia to help with my drinking problem. Then with all of my huge excesses (only need 3 to 4.5mg for MS and be issued 50mg per day), then I would help everyone else out.

Hey, even my insurance company might pick up the tab to help me stop drinking.

Any takers

I honestly tried that one by the time I asked the third doctor to Rx it for me. "Don't hold your breath" was the answer I got, he knows I don't drink, can't win!Aletha Wittmann <Aletha@...> wrote: Its a stupid system when I sit here day dreaming about things like this (see below)........ I do drink - maybe I should just up the ante and drink more or switch

to heroin to be sure I could get the naltrexone and not antabuse!!

Just kidding - but you're right, we do think about things like this to

get around the system. Sad, isn't it??

I have been on ReVia for 5 weeks now, and am finding that I sleep very

well, and have some more energy. I started at 2.0 for a week, then went

to 3.0 for a week, and am now at 4.5. Some days are better than others,

but I am definitely able to do more. I'm even driving to Chicago (from

Nebraska) with my husband and daughter this week, something I would not

have considered before ldn. (I'm 58 with spms, still able to walk.)

Hi Aletha,

I've been looking for it (Revia/LDN) on that site today and

it said no product found! Now what? Have they stopped carrying it?

Hey Night, If you are using REVIA tablets (50 mg), manufactured by Bristol Myers Squib, the filler being used is LACTOSE. Now, if you are using LDN (REVIA) in liquid form (REVIA disolved in 50 ml of water) the filler is inconsequential. Check out the bottom of the data sheet I have linked to http://www.medsafe.govt.nz/profs/datasheet/r/reviatab.htm REVIA is fast release. If I am wrong, please correct me. Ednightowlsbooks <kbskies@...> wrote: If you take low-dose naltrexone for MS and auto-immune problems it has to be the NON slow release form to be effective. I thought Revia was the slow release form, as it is marketed

to be to treat the addictions. With that they use slow release to get effects throughout the day.You have to make sure you are getting non slow release to get the endorphin boosting/ immune system balancing effects. That is my understanding. I have just read about a great deal and used it 2 months, with good results for a lot of fibromyalgia/ possible MS pain and symptoms.

I\m new to the list, and don`t know what have been posted before...Autoimmune and Allergic disases have some common features, and might be the same...I do not find any mentioning at the website / homepage - of using LDN for " simple allergies " as hay fever, allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma, or gastrointestinal IgE mediated problems.

Has it been discussed before ?Any experience. At the website - LDN dosing is suggested 1,75 - 4,5 mg / day , per oral use.How does that relate to Transdermal ??And is the lower doses ment for children ??

Geir,

God dag,

It's nice to see someone else from this side of the Atlantic.

I'm also new to this site, I started on LDN 10 days ago to try and

help with my MS so I don't think I can give you any advice, not on

allergies, but there are plenty others that will be pleased to help

you.

Is it easy to get LDN in Norway ?

I will be going to Bergen-Odda in 4 weeks for a short holiday, my

wife comes from Odda.

Good Luck,

Allan (Danny)

HIya Geir

Jacqueling McCandless, MD, uses LDN transdermally in emu oil in what appears to be the same doses for children with autism. See her website www.starvingbrains.com group = Autism_LDN

What I like about her approach is that she also uses natural therapies like Olive Leaf extract to deal with infections, etc, in addition to pharmaceuticals.
