Guest guest
, I may have mentioned this before but I have a recurrent herpetic whitlow on my left hand. I got it from working in a pathology lab. I am a retired cytotechnologist. Back in '86 right before universal precautions were put into effect we used to process pap smears without gloves on! And hence...I got herpes on one of my fingers most likely due to my horrible lack of nail care and my usual hangnails! I've had to put up with this infection ever since that and it's horribly painful. There are several studies where they believe that herpes may be linked wit hMS. Apparently lots of us MSers have positive titers.About 99% of people have had cld sores, the usual kid's cases of orall herpes sometimes in their lives and wil ltest positive for that strain of herpes. So basically EVERYONE has been exposed to it in one for m or another. But mine is living in the nerve pathwway inside my hannd and comes otut whenever I am stressed or get a sunburn or sometimes just during the time I am on my period. Its a REAL PAIN. I am not taking lysine for it. I used to but gave that up years ago as it had no effect at all. But! Since I started the LDN I have notcied something odd: Normally when the virus gets activated it runs a course of about 2 weeks, from when the redness and hurting feeling somewhere on my finger appears, then the blister starts and grows a bit then i get this horrible red line all the way up my arm(lymphanginitis) and then after more time passes it all goes away. That usually all takes about 2 weeks. But since I've been on LDN it is only1 week !!!!!! Isnt that neato??????? Nola [low dose naltrexone] OT/L-Lysine 500mg How many here take L-Lysine to bring your viral load down some? I do. It's also good for shingles and fever blisters, anything of the herpes nature.
Guest guest
Nola, You might try this along with the L-Lysine. Someone on my forum uses these together.
