Arlene,

My doc said he had prescribed it for another patient, but that she got stomach cramps and quit taking it. I like this doc, he may have misjudged the conflict between the drugs, but I must tell you something about him, he does care. This neurologist spent three hours with me and my wife on my first visit answering all our questions until we were ready to leave. He scheduled an infusion for the next week before my insurance ran out the following week (I'm in a high risk pool now.) We discussed all my sports injuries including compressed vertebra trauma and why it was not the cause of the MS. More doctor face time than in my entire life combined (I'm 53) on that one visit. An hour each visit thereafter and its not fluff its all talk about MS and my body, potential alternate treatments, that drug the FDA just allowed back on the market, don't recall the name. He was a research doc for a pharmaceutical company after med school, he's not a quack, believe me been there done that a couple of times. He is not one to trust anecdotal tails and wants to see hard evidence and clinical trials and studies.

I want to trust everything I read here about LDN. I think Shark cart is a scam, never tried it and never will. I have tried Mangostine, Ambrotose, all kinds of other stuff from a holistic neurologist I wasted a degenerative year with, so I've been suckered as much or more than anyone. LDN sound by all account from you people to be great stuff and I really want to try it.

I will ask the doc and his nurse about the conflicting directions of these drugs as it effects my immune system.

I have the LDN in hand, made at a local pharmacy who has two other clients taking it. I've been on Rebif almost a year now and it has helped, Copaxone didn't do sic'em for me so I don't see going back to that as an option for me just to try LDN. I hate to get off a running horse, so I guess for now I will hold out for more info and not waste the pills I have in hand.

Has anyone in the group stopped Rebif in order to get on LDN? The testimonies all sound so great, but I have been down so many of those wonder product rabbit trails. I'm sure many of you know the drill. If you have had that crossover experience with Rebif, please relate your experiences. Directly or here in the group, I would love to get some first hand input.

I thank each and every one of you who responded to my pleas. I should have got in here before I asked my doc or bought the drugs, but I was in for a solumedrol infusion this week and took the opportunity to ask for it. At least he was willing to prescribe it for me. I was surprised how cheap it was and that it was not covered by my insurance, but 30 - 3 mg caps cost me $22.23 US.

Just wondering, how much did your doc know about low dose naltrexone (LDN) when you asked him about it? Has he prescribed it for other patients?

That would be great if he has had previous patients' experience with LDN. That would mean that we are finally getting to the allopathic doctors.

Be well

Arlene
