Guest guest
> Does anyone know whether it is bad for everyone or just those predisposed for thyroid problems? I was thinking > about Japan and all the soy they eat. Do they all have thyroid problems? It is potentially bad for everyone if eaten in excess. In fact, it was the Japanese who, in 1991, discovered that it raised the TSH if as little as 30 grams or two tablespoons of soybeans per day were consumed. AS far as Japanese and thyroid disorders, I remember reading something, but cannot find it. Janie

Guest guest
, I recently read an article about that... the soy they eat there is fermented and processed in a different way than the stuff that we get here.. and they actually eat less than Americans do. Some of the stuff that I've seen show soy products here are made out of the left over by products that remain after producing soybean oil... and are basically just thrown together in a way the can be marketable.. with no thought toward actual food value or nutrition... What truly amazed me was the part stating that they started out using it to feed to live stock and found all kinds of health issues with the animals and birth defects so stopped feeding it to the animals and began marketing to people... to create a profitable market for something that is actually a byproduct of another process - the soy bean oil. I'll have to see if I can find those articles again..I might have kept it but I don't know for sure... Guest guest
Hi, Green tea with Jasmine is the ONLY thing that will give me a retinal migraine, besides Yankee candles and other smelly candles. I can drink regular green tea. Please cite your sources when making remarks about soy like they are facts. If it is your opinion please state so. We love to follow up and read citations by reliable sources. For example, what is the chemical reaction in the digestive system that makes soy prevent the absorbtion of nutrients? I have good working knowledge of the biology of digestion so I can understand most things. Please inform us Lynn CM, EDS, and more crap I don't want to think about tonight
