Hi All: This is very enlightening and explains why I may have had some mood swings. I wrote to in a private email and explained to her that I had some mood swings (upset easily pounding on counters, crying uncontrollably). This is not at all like me. I didn't know why this happened. After I was dx'd with MS in June 2001, I went on the Best Bet Diet in August. Ashton Embry came up with this diet after his 17 y.o. son was dx'd with MS. This diet eliminates the things that are bad for MS'ers like dairy, gluten, legumes (which includes soy), is very low saturated fat, and there are other restrictions. I was on this diet very faithfully when I started LDN. In the past year, I have not been as strict with the diet and have consumed some wheat products occasionally. I have also had some feta cheese in a salad a couple of times. I didn't write it down, but the timing of my moodiness could have very well correlated with those slippages. I try not to consume these products, but I have had the occasional lapse. Thank you Dr. McCandless for this explanation. Arlene
