Guest guest
I posted another list but want to forward it here in case anyone can use it. I would love to understand more about gut damage and intrinsic factor. Dr. Dommissee thinks sublingual b-12 will work but if my husbands experience is directly related to poor B-12 absorbtion it appears not???? I'll keep you posted if he continues to do well with this treatment. Lynn (here's the post I put on the other list) I've been meaning to post this as it's fascinating. My husband has been struggling with some nasty bursitis in his shoulder for the past six months. He's tried chiropractors, excercise specialists, acupuncture, increased CLO+fish oils, enzymes, even a final ditch effort cortisone shot, everything we could think of with very little reduction in pain. I saw this article right before I left for the WP conference and forwarded it to him. He started injecting some B-12 in his shoulder while I was gone and lo-and-behold when I returned on Monday night he was totally out of pain! I'm stunned.... it happened so fast! http://www.newswithviews.com/Howenstine/james51.htm The article talks about gut damage and the inablity to make intrinsic factor so B-12 is deficient. He's been using sublingual b-12 for the past year and started on some B-vit shots a few months ago from a different doctor who believes in them for memory reasons. But still prehaps the B-12 wasn't enough. I don't know...we're a practically a grain-free house with plenty of red meat, liver and other nutrient dense foods, lots of Amish raw dairy and fermented foods, etc... so I really didn't think there was anyway we could low on any B-vits but it appears so. BTW...he's lowered the amoutns of b-12 injections this week and still seems to have recovered the use of his shoulder. I would really love to understand this more given the shear volume of b-vits, supplements and high quality foods we eat. If this article by Howenstien is correct then he's still running a low B-12 deficiency despite all the high quality foods he's getting????
