This should not have much effect on the LDN. I do suggest you check yourself with the simple home spit test for candida/yeast overgrowth. Candida can cause the effects of LDN to fizzle out. See the link below and if you have candida read futher into the thread on how to remedy candida naturally. Ignore the google ads at the top. I had the same problem then and the steroid injection at that time worked wonders. I don't know what brought it on this time (probably leaning too much on my right arm crutch to get about). Thanks for the advice, I did the spit test and am a walking candida factory! I have been dairy and gluten free for a number of years, drink only bottled water and take vitamin B, flaxseed & selenium (amoungst many others). I have recently given up fruit and added probiotics and bromelain to my supplements so perhaps this will help. Thanks again Phil

That candida is not going to go anywhere until you get on the diet. You'll feel like crap while you are detoxing, I know I did. I broke out in hives and acne and had extra fatigue...for awhile I looked like I had chicken pox...all that's gone now. The reason your LDN is faltering is the candida. Guest guest
Hi All I know this has been covered many times, but I need to know how I should take LDN while on a 3 day course of Solumedrol IV for a relapse, if I should take the LDN at all? I didn't take LDN last night, and I'm supposed to start the IV tonight. Thanks,
Guest guest
Dr Skip from Skip's Pharmacy told me before that he believes that steriods, short term, is ok with LDN. Guest guest
If I were in your place, I would just keep taking it. I haven't taken any Solumedrol or Prednisone in years. That's not saying that I haven't had any relapses. In my condition, there's really no way to know for sure. My Opthamologist did tell me that 'they' don't really know long term effects of the steroids, so I decided not to do anymore. To each his own! Guest guest
Long term use of Steroids isn't good for you especially if taken for years because it effects your bones and makes them more brittle and breaks them down. I had a friend that this happened too... Guest guest
CRYSTAL - u're right about the long-term use of steroids. i was steroid-dependent, and on them for 8 yrs., consistently; and, did contract osteoporosis, which wasn't caught until i had suffered, not just a fracture, but an ankle break, in 3 places. ended, with surgery, placing a metal strip & three screws in, to knit the ankle back in place!! it's there permanently; this was in 1993!! created quite an ordeal for me, learning to walk, climb & descend stairs, with crutches, before even allowed to leave hospital!! QUITE FRIGHTENING!!! since i had broken the ankle while descending stairs, inside my home. ONLY WALKING DOWN; NOT RUNNING!! have to have a bone density test done each year to determine whether i'm losing more or less bone structure!! also contracted glaucoma; having to use drops every day, and have field -of -vision test done each year, to insure not losing sight!! don't have to have this any more; since haven't been on long-term use of steroids since!! after being off the steroids for a while, the glaucoma dissipated!! also, contracted high blood pressure for which i'm still on medication, all these years since!! DON'T WANT TO EXPERIENCE THESE TYPES OF CONDITIONS, EVER AGAIN!! marshiris@... See what's free at AOL.com.
