Guest guest
Another update: My husband started having MS symptoms in September of 2004 following a very stressful month. He started with a pain in his neck area. Within the first month he had urenary frequency, depression, fine motor skill problems (could not use the power screw driver), large motor skill problems (could not make a basket in basketball), numbness and tingling in some areas, and stong fatigue. From the end of September until he started LDN in early Dec. he would come home after lunch due to fatigue and depression. He did a phone consult with Dr. Bihari and started LDN in early Dec. of 2004. The very next day after his first dose he did not come home half day from work. He has not come home early since that time. Within a week he no longer had urinary frequency. Within the first month his fine motor skills and his large motor skills returned to normal. Problems: the first week he was on 4.5mg and he felt new areas of numbness and tingling. We reduced his dosage to 3mg by pourung out part of his pill. That did not seem helpful so we had new pills made at 3mg, which worked great. Apparently the LDN is not evenly distributed within the filler of the pill. The new areas disapeared and have never come back. He does still have the original areas of numbness and tingling (but he can handle that). Even though he was so much better he still had depression in the mornings and he still talked about ending his life. Since Sept. of 2004 he had tried many things for depression (counceling, hypnotheropy, phsyatrist, meditation, 3 different types of anti-depression drugs) but nothing seemed to work. In Febuary of 2005 he started DLP and he started no-glutents or dairy diet. That very day he came home happy. The next morning he did not wake up with depression and to this day has not been depressed. My husband only had 1 large lesion on his spine when he started this process. He had an MRI just before starting LDN and that was still the only detechtable lesion at that time. After he was on LDN for 3 months had had another MRI showing a tiny new lesion on his brain. He has not had another MRI since. We decided that his symptoms are so much better and that the most important thing is that he is enjoying his life and he can do everyting he could do before, so there is not need to find out if there is more or not. He wouldn't do anything differently even if he knew. Thank you to everyone on this chat site for helping us make the dision and helping us through all of the little problems that come up when trying to get things just right. I am sure that without this support we would not have tried LDN or had gotten through the process so well. The people on this chat site saved my husbands life, I am sure of it.
