Guest guest
I rarely post anything, but for some of you that I have kept informed, here's the latest. Jessi had 2 surgeries at the end of last year. She was scheduled for a 6 month post op on 6/18. She has not been doing great. Headaches are back like prior but with some added issues such as a lot of dizziness, trouble with vision (focusing) and a new type of frontal headache. The MRI that was done for the 6 month post op was read as having an increase in her syrinx after several years of stability. We were expecting to hear that she needed a shunt revision. We got a message last night from her surgeon stating that the syrinx had not grown, but that her spinal cord is 'grossly swollen'. He stated that surgery is needed right away to do an exploritory and possibly a spinal cord biopsy. We are waiting to hear from the surgical coordinator for a date. Please keep Jessi in your prayers.
