Guest guest
Here is a letter from one of the ladies who wrote to me about her chin implant. Love always Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`` Lea Sent: Saturday, June 18, 2005 1:13 PM Subject: Re: silicone implant Dear Lea, Thank you very, very much for your reply. I am going to share your info with my mom, who is a great info digger. She's the type that gets a hold of people who have been on Dateline and other news shows and get's info on reliable labs and so forth to send samples to. Right now she wants me to send some hair and blood samples to check for various types of poisonings. I will do this promptly. Anyhow, if this ongoing problem stems from silicone...well...I am not the type to litigate if I can help it, but this is an instance when I absolutely would. Over a decade of my life and vitality have been affected by this. I will then need to find a lawyer who can guide me through this process. (for instance, having the Dr.'s save the implant and send it to a lab to check for bacteria, breakdown etc...) I read where they threw your implants away. They just don't want to get involved and have the manufacturers withdraw funding etc... So, it looks like I'll have to get an attorney to FORCE them to behave properly. I'm glad indeed that I read your info on your web pages. Thank you for printing your experience and other useful research documentation. Thank you for your recent emails too. Sincerely, silicone implant Dear Lea, Hello, my name is and I live in Oregon USA. I found your website because I have become interested in silicone damage. I had a chin implant (silicone with titanium screws) put in when I was 17. I'm now 32. Over time I have developed many of the symptoms that you described in yourself! When I look back I realize that my health problems do stem from that time on. There may have been a little bit of lag time, but it was still around that time. My implant was a solid silicone piece, so I was trying to find info on the medical aspects from your site. What I find interesting is that the silicone in you seems to have produced pseudo hormonal symptoms. (night sweats etc..) This is what I have experienced as well, so of course I have had my Dr.'s check these body systems and they come back negative. On the one hand that's good, but why do my symptoms continue and why are they so intense? I cannot say for sure that it is my implant, but my symptoms (crippling fatigue, depression, night sweats etc...) are quite similar to what you have experienced. So...I feel I must research the possible link of my semi-flexible chin implant. My question to you is, how in the world do I research this? Any tidbits you may have energy to share would be greatly appreciated. Wishing you the best,
