what type of diapers are you using?i find livie does not stay dry very long

in the huggies brand of diapers.i prefer to use luvs.they are not only a tad

cheaper(i think by about $1.00 or so),they seem to keep her drier even than

pampers.i have 2 boys of my own and when livie came to us in december she was

4 months old(almost) and man, could she wet a diaper! my sister didn't use

very absorbant diapers(storebrand i think) so she had a horrible rash too.try

the luvs, she likes to look at barney while i'm changing her.

Hi. is went through a stage like that for a few weeks! She's

always slept well through the night until then. I didnt think she was

teething either....then one day I noticed she had a molar thru. That

mightve been it cause she started sleeping through the night again.

Have u tried Huggies overnight diapers? We've had pretty good luck with

them. She hasnt wet through them yet. YET is the key word there:-) We

also started putting a water proof pad underneath her just in case she

did wet through. That way you dont have to change the sheets in the

middle of the night when youre half asleep. Hope this helps:-)

Hi. I just wanted to quickly respond here.

My daughter, Grace, just went through a kidney infection and all the joys that come with it (renal scans (2), bloodwork). I never knew she had a UTI! She had a fever, but I thought it was due to teething. BUT, in retrospect, she was peeing huge amounts! And, like , peeing through the diapers and sheets a couple of times a night! A baby with a UTI isn't common (and even less so with boys). But, think of it as food for thought.

Hi Everyone,This is a non-plagio post but I thought I'd ask you guys. Everyone always has good tips. The last 4 nights has been waking up 2 times and both times he has wet through his sleeper - change the diaper, change the sleeper, change the bedding! AHHHHHH. Anyways, he used to sleep through the night and the last few nights he's beenalot more restless and cries out more and when I do go to him he's wet through his diaper. Does anyone have any tips on keeping him dry? I'm sure if he wasn't feeling damp he wouldn't be so fidgety and then start crying. I don't think teething would be the reason for the fidgetiness because he's cut all eight front teeth and I don't think he's getting molars yet - I hope not. Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone!!!

Unfortunately we don't get luvs in my small town :( I'm thinking of trying a size larger in his diaper to see if that helps.

- what other symptoms did Grace have with her UTI?

Huggies makes nighttime diapers which have never failed during our two boys' 11

hour nights (yeah!).

, I don't know how old is, but if his diaper is not too

big/small, maybe you could just put plastic pants over the diaper? Also,

You could put one of those cloth diaper changer things under him when he

sleeps so if it gets wet, you don't have to change the sheets, too. Good

luck! Ann

-Okay, here is what I had to do with one of our kids...I bought diaper

inserts at the grocery store. I just added it at night. I know they also

have " overnight " disposable diapers, yet they were pricey & I was already

gagging at my diaper costs, so the inserts were cheaper & worked great! I

also think boys have a tendency to dampen their clothes more due to always

wetting at the front of the diaper, whereas girls are more the bottom of the

diaper. I hope you can find the inserts, I recall they are cheap, so give em

a try:)! Kimry

is almost 10 months old. It's not that his diaper gets soaking wet,

he's been way wetter and not leaked. It's like it comes out the sides where

there's no absorbancy. I just got back from the store and we don't get luvs

here so I bought I bigger size to see if that will maybe help.

,

We have alway's used Luvs brand diapers. They hold an amazing amount of

urine ! Also as far as the wetting the bed goes maybe you could wrap an

extra receiving blanket across the middle of the crib where he usually has

his bum. Then when he does wet himself you just have to change the diaper and

sleeper.

Also maybe you could use those little plasic pants that are supposed to

go on the outside of the cloth diapers.Just put them on top of the

disposable diaper. This should hold the urine in also.

I hope you find something that works for you.SOUnds like you guys need

some sleep.

She didn't have any other symptoms, . That's what the scary thing is. She wasn't fussy, she didn't "act" sick, her urine didn't have a funny smell or color. She had a fever that had been lingering for a while. But, I had taken her to the doctor in the very beginning of the fever and was told she might have a cold or it was teething (which, given her other "symptoms" at the time, seemed more than reasonable). I'm not angry at her pediatrician for missing it, because she wasn't exhibiting any symptoms of a kidney infection and it's just not that common in babies.

It's only in hindsight that the sudden and constant waterfalls every night made sense.
