Guest guest Posted April 5, 2000 Report Share Posted April 5, 2000 We have one " offical " computer guru and her base is this Ranger Unit, but she also travels to San Obispo (CA) Ranger Unit. The other is an " unoffical " computer person, who works on the computers here in the ECC and in all the fire stations. She does basic stuff. Which includes the printers. She has recently built us a new database for logging all our stat stuff in Access. Our major CAD problems are handled in Sacramento. All of our ECC computers are set up so they can go in and fix from there. They also control our " Outlook " email system. The ECC Captains have to do a weekly backup here at the HQ level and all the tapes are stored in the computer room in the ECC. Simple things like " consider flags " or " ghost equipment " is handled here, by the Comm Op II or me.
