Hello neighbor!!! I didn't get to see the channel 5 report unfortunately. I

did however hear that Chief Moose is calling our manpower shortage " grave. "

Glad to know he's paying attention!! I wasn't at work when the news crews

(apparently there were 2 of them) came in. They usually come in on daywork

and I only work midnights. I'm going to have to check the website and see if

they decide to update it and put in a summary of our problems!!(And I'm so

glad to know we rank below the cherry trees in importance. I'm not surprised

though!)

And yes!!!! I'm very glad that was PG county and not us that cuffed that

prisoner to the pole. I was working that night and we had just gone on the

scene of a serious shooting in Silver Spring when PG called us. Guess that

wasn't a good enough reason to be too busy to pick up a guy with warrants

for minor traffic violations!!

the report. Unfortunately, the Fox5 site http://www.fox5dc.com

includes a web summary on planting new cherry trees but not on

the manpower shortages in the MD suburban PSAPs....

and aren't you glad it was Prince 's that left the prisoner

cuffed to a telephone pole for Mongomery to pick up rather

than the other way around.
