Guest guest
In my center we have two possibilities. If the alarm is from the alarm panel we monitor, they are required to respond even if a RP calls and cancels. If there is a call from the alarm company about an alarm being activated (ex/ADT), the units are sent responding. Later if the same company calls back with a cancellation we will cancel the units regardless of their location. We always give our operator numbers to the initial caller, and they talk with the same operator if at all possible for cancellations. If the business/residence needs help resetting the alarm the units will continue and assist. The exception is one fire department we dispatch for has their own protocol and they continue to respond even if there was a cancellation and no assistance is requested. Hope this helps! ===== Samara Wedel EMD, EMT I/D KQAS 3/4 Hesston, KS emdsign@... __________________________________________________
