I have nearly died 2 times from varices,and when you start to hemmorage it can be so bad,i nearly bled to death very quickly,The grace of god and a great trauma team saved me,and they didnt think they were gonna be able to. Subject: vomitting blood just now WHAT TO DO? To: livercirrhosissupport Date: Tuesday, December 23, 2008, 12:55 AM has been coughing a lot lately. He just vomited about 2 ounces of blood...I called the dr on call and he said to come in for an evaluation.. .but that he didn't feel it was a variceal bleed because they are usually involve copious amounts of blookd. So....I live 40 minutes from the hospital...am i safe driving him myself or should I call the first aid crew? If anyone happens to be readin this right now, which do you think I should do?
