Guest guest
Yes, but at least you have 4 days of training. Right now we only have 1 four hour session. All the dispatchers have to attend and this is not seen as something mandatory! There also aren't any help files, no manual, no direct tech support since we can only go through one person to get our questions answered (this is okay since the developer won't get bombarded with questions) If one class is the only thing we can get out of him, I am very wary about committing to the whole project, much less going on with testing. annette <<snip>> I'm glad to find that we're not the only ones. We are in the middle of training on the Tiburon CAD system and are only getting 4 days and then we go live in a week. We are about to go berserk and the after hours alchohol consumption has alarmingly elevated. This is our first CAD system and it is a big change for some of us and even more for those with no computer experience. Good system but how about a little more exposure!! Guest guest
Interesting. The records clerk told me to have a beer when I get home today. Maybe alcohol ought to be included with any new CAD install... annette <<snip>> Oh, good luck, Craig. Trust me, you'll need it!!! 3 years later, and we are still drinking... >>>> I'm glad to find that we're not the only ones. Guest guest
No, not really. Basically, this beta testing is free (well, except for the server which we were going to have to buy with a new system anyways) We get all updates in the future for free. Go deal if you get something that is worth it. I'm still holding my final judgement sense we are only just starting this thing. I would have much rather bought a system that was already tested, tried and true. So far it's not starting off really well. I feel like the foot of a vain lady who is at the shoe store. I'm being shoe horned by a salesclerk into a shoe that is one size too small. All the while the lady is insisting that size 7 is her size, that the shoe must be made differently. Which, in reality the lady wears a size 8! (Does anyone remember this analogy?) annette <<snip>> did they ask your opinion beforebuying it? Did they check out several different ones to make sure it the one they pick is the best for your communication center? Good Luck Kurt <,snip>>

This way your concerns are in writing and in my department those things HAVE to be addressed?
