My condolences to both the families of the victims and to the TC handling the call. It could not have been pretty. >> My condolences also...That had to have been a horrifying 9-1-1 call, I couldn't even imagine. Sorry, for saying this, but they should just shoot the guy and save alot of money, or better yet, put him in a car, and push him in front of a train going 70mph.. jamie in iowa

Here's the news off of ENN (www.emergency.com). Admittedly a critical incident for the dispatcher on the other end of the call - my condolences and sympathy as well: PENNSYLVANIA ------------ Police Look For Suspect Who Pushed Car Into Path Of Train A woman being chased by her estranged boyfriend and three others in her car were killed when witnesses said the boyfriend used his car to push hers into the path of an oncoming freight train. Police said the woman made a frantic 911 call on her cellular phone and was talking to a dispatcher when her car was struck by the train. Police are still looking for the man. His car was reportedly found late Thursday in Reading, Pennsylvania, five miles from the scene of the crime. The crash happened at about 1630 EDT Thursday at a crossing on the main thoroughfare in Sinking Spring, a town of about 2,400 people 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia. It followed a 30 minute chase in and around town that reached speeds up to 90 mph. The fleeing 20-year-old woman went around a car that was parked at a train crossing -- the gates were down because of the oncoming train -- and then stopped in the oncoming traffic lane. The second vehicle came up behind her and struck her in the rear. The second vehicle then pushed the first vehicle onto the tracks. The Norfolk Southern freight train was going about 40 mph at the time of the collision. The train dragged the woman's car nearly 60 feet before stopping. The woman and her 2-year-old son were pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman in her 20s and a girl about 6-years-old died after being taken to hospitals.
