Guest guest Posted December 24, 2008 Report Share Posted December 24, 2008 I have been reading all the Merry Christmas greetings, and planned to write one myself. But I want to say more than just Merry Christmas. I want to say thanks to God for the fact that I am alive, to say nothing about recovering from what we call the Quartzsite Crud here. Same as the crud anywhere, but most people get it after coming down here for the winter. Actually, I think they bring it with them and spread it around liberally. Anyway, about 2 years ago, I would have died if I had been home when I had a severe attack of pancreatits. This April, I had a triple bypass. Before they could do the bypass, they had to get my creatinine level down from 2.9. Then I had fluid on my lungs, and a medication reaction due to my kidneys and liver not working. But through it all, I have not been alone. And God sent me a special message the last time I was in the hospital. While my dvd player was playing " He has the whole world in his hands " I could feel his hand lift me up out of the recliner I was sitting in. Other years, I have felt a little sad at Christmas because I couldn't spend it with my family. But this year, it doesn't matter. It is Christmas and it is a great day. Hope you all have a great day too. We are having ham tonight because my grandson has to work tomorrow. Ed and I are joining friends of mine from church tomorrow. We will also be celebrating Christmas on Jan 6th when my grandson's mom and three siblings will be here. So, Merry Christmas everyone. May God Bless You as he has blessed me.
