Guest guest Posted December 29, 2008 Report Share Posted December 29, 2008 I'm watching you with great interest about how you go through this process. I'm learning a lot about transplants. We lost our great- grandson in August. He was on the transplant list for a new heart, but because he was an infant the chances were slim to none of him getting a new heart. His health became so fragile they took him off the list and he died two weeks later at age 10 months. Little Eagle became a donor after this happened. When Little Eagle died, they did take and use as many organs as they could. At the time when we talked about him becoming organ donor, I thought it was silly because we had years to make these decisions, but Little Eagle died two momths later. Oh! how well I remembered that talk when I was approached by the medical staff at the hospital. I had no doubt what he wanted to do. So Ms. Penny take your shot and be brave because you have your own rooting section out here.
