Guest guest
Hello, My son had an endoscopy when he was 2yo, autism, (upper gi and upper intestine) and he showed lymphoid hyperplasia. At that time, the GI doctor said everything was fine, he was no celiac, all other test results were fine, etc. He did not mentioned the term above which I went back to review months later because there was no medical explanation (doctor's said) of why my son was not growing or gaining weight. I searched on the internet and the term came up related to Dr. Wakefield findings. Is it related to a virus? Has anyone seen a GI doctor of kids for autism? Is this treatable? it is suppposed to be some excess mucos in the intestine lining. Currently, visiting Dr. GI for autism is out of our budget. Hope to find light about this.
