Guest guest
My girl used to be en Valtrex and Amphotericin B for a period, she had also a yeast overgrowth; then we change Amphotericin B for Diflucan and she got big gains. The doctor never suspend Valtrex neither decrease the dose, just change the antimicotic.Subject: Yeast overgrowth vs. Acyclovir? To: mb12 valtrex Date: Friday, November 28, 2008, 1:46 AM We started Acyclovir prior to Diflucan by about two weeks, and we know that our son's yeast is now way out of control. We are wondering if the yeast is masking any gains we might be seeing with the Diflucan. We are thinking about cutting back on the Acyclovir (maybe in half?) temporarily to see if we can get the yeast under control before continuing as we know Acyclovir promotes yeast overgrowth.Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice from anyone?-Marisa
