Guest guest
Hi ,It's a hard choice. We tried it on but it didn't help him very much, sometimes he was worse. is a sweet kid but was VERY aggressive. After starting certain supplements and " brushing " from the OT (which is every hour and a half) it is almost gone. Our doc even tried Seroquel and others....UGH. His poor body. Did your doc give you any other options? Any " natural " choices? It's a hard choice and my heart breaks for you. Good luck with whatever you decision is. Just polling everyone who has tried Risperdal for their children with aggression because our son's doc is gently pushing us to put him on this. He is VERY aggressive and life here is really tough. He is a complete nonresponder to all things biomed after four+ years of nonstop trying. Can anyone give me any input - positive or negative - as to whether riserdal has helped their children? Thanks. Desperate here, H.
Guest guest
My daughter has been on Risperdal for 2+ years and Our Dr. suggested it as well.We were willing to try anything at the point we were at because, of the Anger towards us especially, she would bite her hand and slap her face and SCREAM if you did not do what she requested, and the tantrums, and OCD were unbelievable and if this medication was going to calm her we were willing to try, and it did help and she is not a big eater and when given Risperdal she would eat a great dinner but...since reading these posts after trying to go GFCF and Supplements.. We are going to try the Dr Peng Protocol and see if we can get her off of the Risperdal. She is on a very small dose but I would still like her to be Off of it. I have Hope and Believe the herbs are going to help, my husband and I dream of the day we can go out in public,or to Dinner and not have a fear that she will have a meltdown or tantrum. Guest guest
Maribeth, Have you ever checked your child's testosterone level? High testosterone affects girls also. Violent behavior is a result of high testosterone. Suggest you at least check her testosterone level. Good luck.
