The types: witch, waif, queen, hermit

Ok, so doing some re-reading last night and thinking about some of

this stuff, my mother shows characteristics of all of these.

Growing up she was a witch/queen mix in regard to me--unpredictable

raging and punishments, very rarely physically violent, and then the

rest of the time it was " you can't question me, you can't disagree

with me, and if you like something I don't or don't like something I

do, you'll pay. "

But now she is very much the waif--she's a victim of everyone else,

she's weak and sick and can't take care of herself.

I'm wondering what other people think of these types? Are they

really helpful or do most of you find that the BP in your life has a

little of each?

Also how, does this stuff apply to men?

Oh, and I guess another thing that muddies the waters for me is that

my mother has never been able to hold a job and frequently had

health problems--those things seem more hermit in a way.

FWIW - BPD is usually diagnosed along with another personality

disorder. So your mother could very well be BPD and APD. I know

mine has something else besides BPD, but I haven't been able to

figure out what else.
