Guest guest
Hi . Okay here goes: I had my ster. in 1990. I had them cauterized, in fact I told the doctor to rip them out stomp on them and throw them against the wall, never thinking I would want another baby, well time change don't they? Luckily he just burned them. You probably already know that your tubes are about 10 cm long. After surgery I had 6 1/2 on one side and 7 on the other. Really good lenghts left! I think I was lucky but I know Dr. Levin is what made the difference. I stayed at the Inn. Are you? I had to be at the hospital at 6;30 a.m. When you get there they will ask you your name and call you back in just a couple minutes. They will take you into a room and draw your blood. Next, they will put you in a room and have you change into a gown, some footies, and a stylish little hat! They put you in a little bed, like at the emergency room, there are other people there in there own little curtained room and the nurses are really on top of things. They are everywhere. Now the fun part. They bring in a big bag of fluid with a hose on it and give you an enema. The only uncomfortable part is that you get belly cramps from all the fluid the drain into you.I couldn't take the whole bag so the nurse didn't make me(bless her heart!)They reserve a potty room for you so you dont have to wait to go. I ended up having to go 3 times. After I was done, they let my husband in. They put an I.V. in my hand for the fluid and medicine. The anethesiologist will come in and talk to you, as well as a nurse that will do a little med. history on you. I was then wheeled to the surgery room. I remember seeing the microscope and talking to Dr. Levin. He was standing beside me with this big ol' smile on his face. That is the last thing I remember. I woke up in recovery and I was hurting, so the nurse gave me some pain med. and I went back to sleep for a couple hours. (Can you believe I accidentaly typed " I woke up in surgery...Good thing I caught that before I sent!!) When I woke up my husband was sitting beside my bed. I was all dingy. My husband told me that Dr. Levin came out right after he was done with me and told him how it went. I'm sure he told me 10 times that the Doctor said I have 6 1/2 on one side left and 7 on the other. Pretty good lenghts! I went back to the Inn, (with the pain pills they gave me gripped solidly in my claw! I had to pee all day and night. I guess from all the fluid they give you. Make sure you have help to the potty. I wasn't in any real pain at all while I was at the Inn. Only a little when I had to go pee. Dr. Levin and Venicia come see you the next morning to look at your incision. It will have a plastic wrap over it like sticky cling wrap. Under that is gauze over the incision. He leaves a strip of gauze sticking out so you can pull it off easily. My incision was about 4 inch. long. about a inch under my pubic hair line. Oh yea,if you are getting yours in the same place, shave before you go if you don't want them to shave you.The nurse will do it right before the enema if you don't. She was happy to see she didnt have to shave me. ( I was happy I already did when I saw that disposable razor with no Aloe strip!) I left the day after surgery. We took a taxi to the airport(15.40) each way.The baggage handlers will get you a wheelchair. Let them know at the gate and they will let you on the plane first.Have your husband start grabbing the pillows and blankets as soon as you get on the plane if you have a long flight. I slept the whole way back to Dallas. There is alot to do in Louisville if you get ther the day before. We chose to go to the casino riverboat.A shuttle will come pick you up from the casino if you make reservations. It was alot of fun. If you get a chance, take one of those horse drivin carriage rides you will see all over town, its only 5.00 and they take you all over down town and will drop you back off at the Inn. Well worth it. Dont eat at Joes Crab Shack. We waited over an hour to get our food after we ordered.I was counting down the minutes to my crab legs because it was really late and I could'nt eat after midnight.I finnaly told them somebody was going to experience a great amount of bodily injury if I missed my window, so dont eat there. The Inn shuttle will take you anywhere in a 6 block radius to eat. They will pick you up until 11.00 pm. (We took the carriage home) I have been home for two weeks. I thought my incision would be all healed up by now but it took a little longer to heal than I expected. I had a little hole(between stitches) that wouldnt close. It just started closeing up today, so dont freak out if you have the same thing happen to you. The doctor explained to me that there is a row of stitches sewn real close and tight under the stitches you can see. The ones you can see on your belly arent sewn as close together, so dont think the ones you can see are the only ones holding your belly closed. I still have a little drainage coming out of one spot. I dont know if that is typical or not. Dr. Levin says it is fine. I can tell you that I thought my recovery would be alot faster. I still walk a little slow and cautiously. But I am fine and I'm sure you will be too! If you have any other questions feel free to ask, Good luck, Crystal
Guest guest
Hi : I have been on the Vivelle Dot patch for a number of months. After researching it and generally reading nothing but good stuff it sounded like what I wanted. So far so good. I wear mine on my lower abdomen, not on my butt as they won't stay adhered. I am on two .1 mg patches at a time, wear them for 3 days each and leave the old ones on. They are pretty depleted after 3 days. I also use a pump of estrogel at night. I am a high E girl. Last blood test I was 388. Felt a bit low that morning of the blood pull. I have nothing bad to say about the V Dot at all except for the fact that they are expensive! You need a few extras on hand just incase one bites the bullet some how. I stagger the the placement of them to every day and a half to balance out their potency. When I first searched out the Dot my main goal behind my quest was to provide the most stabile blood level of E that I could for my way overly sensitive hair follicles. If you want to know anything else I'll be happy to share. Guest guest
Hi Eileen - Wow - you wear a lot of patches! Why keep the old grungy ones on? For me, I think 2 would be quite enough. I'm VERY allergic to any kind of glue or sticky stuff. My skin is very sensitive. 388 is kind of high isn't it? But that's pretty good for such a low dose of E! I guess the patches are much more potent that natural creams. > > > > > Message: 9 > > Date: Fri, 31 Mar 2006 16:52:57 -0000 > > > > Subject: E Patch -- which is a good one to use? > > > > Hi all - I'm thinking of trying an E patch but I'm worried about my > > skin allergies. I would leave the old one too for another day until the glue started to irritate my skin. Nice to hear from another high E girl!!!! Madeleen > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/growhair/> Yahoo!
