Guest guest
they used to do clinics under the name CASD conferences. (yearly in LA area) if you look that up in some of the national groups you will get more of an idea on them and the founder. there was quiet the controversy over them years ago causing ALOT of chat. I believe on the CK2 group, perhaps the gfcf group as well. there is a connect there as well with great plains a bit to, as there is (or was) back when it was CASD Recovering from Autism is a marathonNOT a sprint, but FULLY possible!Read more about it on my BLOGs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelkinghttp://foggyrock.com/MyPage/recoveringwisheshttp://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=677063169 possible explanation care clinics Did care clinics bite too much off too fast trying to meet demands while still assembling a system? This I can accept in the midst of trying to assemble care since the gov't could care less if our kids get treated. However if we looking at a situation where INTENTION is in question I would really like to know this prior to taking my son for treatments. Any more thoughts on this issue GREATLY appreciated. Guest guest
Ok, comments were asked for about CARE Clinics and as a mom who has had experience with them for over 2 years now (good and bad) I wanted to share some perspective on the clinic from my viewpoint (not to excuse the things that I have read that has happened to some of you there- I have heard many that were not pleased with the experience at the clinic and don't blame you for feeling that way!). I have found the clinic to offer treatments that are aggressive and " cutting edge " so to speak. This is just what we wanted at the time but is not for everyone. It mostly centers on IV treatments but also has HBot and other less invasive strategies such as individualized supplement plans ect. There is lots of testing before each treatment and even at home and we usually get copies of the results but are left to try to understand the results on our own until we can schedule an appointment to go over results. The clinic is very busy and often overscheduled so we just usually come prepared to wait a while. I can say that it has gotten better recently, though. I truly believe that the founder's heart is in the right place and that she just will not say no to anyone wanting treatment and that often results in an over scheduled day. After all, she has an autistic son and has been in the same place that many of us are in now; trying to find the right place and the right treatment. I do agree that the clinic has grown quickly, maybe too quickly, and is now trying to catch up with demand. It recently expanded to Florida and I heard California soon, too. But the need is there to detox our kids unfortunately and at least there is a place for treatment for those that want to do IV's for chelation and mineral replacement that will take insurance because we couldn't afford it otherwise. If anyone is considering going to them, I would just say to them to be well informed of IV treatments and write your questions down before you go because it can be quite overwhelming at first. Don't be afraid to question anything and remember that you can always say no to any treatment. Also, plan on your visit to take longer than you might expect. We bring meals and dvd's and books. And finally, if you are not really wanting IV treatments, then you may want to look elsewhere for treatment because the clinic is specialized for that way of detox as the primary route while treating viruses and yeast and bacteria as you go along with chelation treatments. It has been a good match for us, but I can't say that it is for everyone. I hope this helps a little. I am in no way excusing any of the things that I read about that happened to others at the clinic. If you can get past a little disorganization, waiting at times, and a lot of testing, then the treatments can be really worth it. I think the clinic's heart is in the right place. We have seen amazing results and I'll do anything to get my kid back. King " wrote: > > they used to do clinics under the name CASD conferences.
