Chronic SINUS infection/fever >> Again, I would say you were undertreating. Try zithromax for a > month. Amoxicillan for 10 days will not cut it.Hi Caryn,My son was recently hospitalized for 3 days of IV antibiotics to fighta serious sinus infection. That was about two weeks ago. He's sick inbed today and the symptoms seem the same.I gave him OLE this morning and will give that a couple more times. IsOLE good for fighting bacterial infections? What else is good for this? He's also doing the neti pot with a touch of baking soda and salt. When he got out of the hospital, the doctor had him on an oralantibiotic (unisym which is a penicillin derivative) and he gothives... he stopped taking that so maybe the infection wasn't quite dead.I've heard of the month long zithromax and I will ask the doc aboutthat. But I'm in Costa Rica - the doctors are great here but not that"alternative" ...Any other suggestions, I'm all ears. Thank you,Sally

If I have to have him occasionally on an allergy med, what do you all use? I got started on this path because my other son was diagnosed with asthma and has been on meds his whole life. I couldn't believe he'd have to be on meds forever and started looking for other answers which is how I found this group among many others last summer. He's off the meds now, doing very well. We are casein free, mostly gluten free, sugar free - they have one day a week when they can eat anything. It has made a huge difference - we've all lost weight and feel better. Except for the sinus infection! Yesterday Mo was loaded up on OLE and Vit C (along with the regular boatload of supplements) and today he went to school. Still snuffling and sneezy, but otherwise good. Thank you. Sally
