we've long suspected that our boy's gut issues were at least at play

in his seizure frequency, but more and more we are noticing that if he

poops every day, the seizures are way down and sometimes even gone.

we've noticed that when his poop are in a poor state, his seizures are

worse. we've had several occurrences of him not pooping for several

days with a dramatic increase in seizures only for them to disappear

as soon as he has a big blow out. his poop is never normal and often

has undigested food in it.

this weekend it happened again - not pooping, seizure increase, then

huge blowout followed by seizures going away. i should also add that

his stomach begins to get more and more bloated during this cycle.

this weekend was different though because he also pooped out what

appears to be stomach acid (it immediately started burning his skin).

my mother in law got to witness all this and was totally shocked by

the chain of events.

after he pooped out the acid, he was more on and more improved than we

have ever seen him. but, i think the cycle is starting again and i

think he's in pain.

we've also been dealing with night wakings where he wants food or

drink - now we realize it's because he's in pain.

i have an appointment request in with a well known autism GI doctor,

but i'm worried about the pain he's experiencing.

anyone else ever have this experience?

thanks,

jennie
