Message: Two firefighters were inujured in a traffic accident this afternoon.

The accident involved a Rockingham County, VA brush truck responding to an

illegal control burn call. The details are not clear but it appears they were

attempting to miss a vechile that pulled out in front of them. One firefighter

sustained siginifcant head trauma and was air lifted to University of Virginia

Medical Center. The other firefighter was not seriously injured but is at UVA

Medical Center. I'll pass more information as I get it. Keep the family and

personnel of Rockingham and onburg, VA in your thoughts and prayers.

Charlottesville, VA Fire Dept.
