I agree. Stan's whole story in on his website, and there are videos there too. Stan's not a doctor, he's a parent researcher, as basically we all are. He could have recovered his son and walked away, but he didn't. I agree that we're all busy, some busier than others. We can't expect one individual to constantly give up time from their job, family, research and everything else to advise other people. That's why we all share knowledge on here. Stan did start this group but that didn't obligate him to stay on here and hold people's hands every step of the way. He probably started the group to inform people of the protocol and for people who were trying it to share their experiences. Stan owes the group nothing. Many of us owe him!

Yes we are all busy, and we are all in the same situation. Some worse than others. I’d rather do my own work

researching Stan’s stuff that he’s already published and not have

him spoon feed it to me and allow him to continue banging on the doors of the

AAP and make some progress on a larger scale. He is on the board of DAN!

isn’t he? He has to be busy and he does have a family.

Stan is an inspiration and I owe him great

thanks for giving me hope in the dark days of diagnosis.

Let's get back on track!

I believe that the first poster who posted a comment in regards to Stan and this yahoo group was only saying that it would be really cool if Stan could comment on some of the posts on this yahoo group. I don't think she was saying he should or that he owes anything to anybody. I also think it would be amazing to hear what he would have to say about some of our posts, but do understand that he is out there fighting for all of us and thank God for Stan and what he's done! I think the "we're all busy" comment from another poster was just out of frustration to another poster's comment. Yes, we're all very busy trying to help our children and I have no doubt that in the future some of us will be doing for others, exactly what Stan is doing for us today. We're all her for the same reason...to help our children!!!!!

This discussion is probably a good place to ask a question I have

wondered about. Obviously Stan is the moderator of this group, but

are there any other moderators who are active on the list? Usually

with online communities there are active moderators and all users can

easily identify them. I have never been able to figure out if we

have any of those on this list. I know Stan will handle a problem

when it gets reported to him, but I was just wondering if we had

anyone else.

It's tough to know, just from reading responses to posts, who has the

experience we're looking for and who is qualified to be dishing out

advice. Once you're on here for a while, you begin to get a feel for

who knows their stuff, but with Stan answering questions, at least we

have the videos to see what he did. and all of his knowledge is out

there for us to look at. I'm not saying there's no one on here that I

trust, but I understand where the original poster is coming from.

If there are other moderators and they were approved by stan, maybe

knowing that would help???

Hello everyone, I think everyone is trying to give the best advise as we see it knowing that all of our children are different and repond differently to everything--I read a lot on the groups and research on line so II can know what to ask and discuss with our doctor. We are all trying to find the 100% answer from someone, but collectively we are getting somewhere and many are seeing improvements from the advise on this and other forums. My mistake has been that I went so fast with so much, I can not tell you what was best --or what did what even for my own daughter----

We are using a layered approach in hopes that the combination of

therapies accelerates the time to recovery. Like you, we probably

will not know which of the therapies was most critical.

Can anyone tell me if they have or are using Dr.

Goldberg’s protocol through him?  We just started with my daughter, age 4 ½ and

she is on valtrex  ¼ of 500mg tab 3x/day for a week and then we up it.  I was

just wondering if there are pros, cons/successes, etc.

Thanks!
