Hi ,

I am so happy to hear your ds doing well with herb protocol.

This is my experiment.

Since we discovered on Hollaween night, my son ate half of jack-o-lantern buckets' of candies ( I mean real bad ones from tricker or treat), we were so freaked out and waited him to have a meltdown, or bad OCD... but he did not have any of them the whole night and the next day, only a slight of hyperness---kind of happily hyper, but no stimmingly hyper.

For his health, I still remove sugar from all his diet, and no diary (we all lactouse intolerant anyway). But, I started to add a little bit wheat ( like healthy bread made of rice and a little bit wheat, no yeast and sugar added in the ingredient), he was fine with it wihtouth any behavior issue, nor complaints to his stomach. And we slowly added tomatoes, oranges ( he is supposed to allergic to them), and he was fine and enjoy them quite a bit. We added apples ( apple feeds yeast, so we want to see his yeast flare behavior start..), but he did not have any yeast overgrowth reactions...

For the protien department, we still carefully choose seafood that is wild caught, no explosure to possible mercury, otherwise, he eats all kind of meat. ( but we avoid processed meat because these chemical in the meat...)

Since he has been so sweet in the last 5 weeks, we let him sneek on a slice of pumpkin pie, I mean the real pumpkin pie sold in Wal Mart ( sugar, wheat, everything..), he ate it with a cup of herb tea ( from Dr. Peng) at the same time,,, guess what, he was ok, happy and calm. We call him Zen Master now ( he is always happy and calm), before we called him Quinnster ( like Quinn-monster, always destroy things, tears things, bites things and gets mad)..

I asked Dr. Peng about the herb, he told me some of the major herbs have the function of helping breaking down food, train GI works the way out, balance other organs, and train the body how to manufactur its own needed enzyme, ultimately upbringing mateblism to work the way it supposedly works.... I believe it so... Eventually, we don't want to see my son become his own prisoner--can't eat this, can't eat that,,, if these herbs can repair, correct and teach his body as a whole how to live a life it supposed to be, that is the ultimate goal, isn't it? So we don't have to rely on supp, probiotic, eznyme 365 a year....

Sincerely, Rei

Rei,I am so happy for you all! You mention that he was restricted on food before. Does that mean he is not now? I remember you said that he ate some Halloween candy and didn't have the usual reaction to it. Have you been able to expand his diet overall? My oldest dd is not ASD, but she has celiac disease. Her body has a LOT of trouble detoxing. She is on a VERY restricted diet because her body has so much trouble digesting. She can't wait until we get her in with our TCM doctor. I mentioned that my ds had a very "heavy" scent about him ever since he was a baby. On day three of herbs he sweat ALL day and from day four on, he has had no scent at all. He must think I am so weird because every time he sits with me I have to smell his head and neck because I am so amazed! My dd is hoping for the same detox, but if she could expand her food choices, she would be really thrilled! I haven't

really tried new foods with my 3 yo ASD ds yet, because I don't want to change too much at once. Thanks again,>> He told me the other day---Mom, I feel very good. ( I know what he meant. From a poor little guy who was always thin, and bony with dark circle under eyes, fuzzy, tantrum around the clock, leaky guts, restricted on food, sick all the time, can't talk, stimming, OCD, anxious to a boy who looks healthy, feels relaxed, responds to life with calmness and peace, and likes to use brain to make projects work, bright eyes, good skin tone and tells me that--He feels very good. What can I proof more... He is being recovered by these raw-natural-weird- looking-and- taste-funky herb juice. > >

There are many days I would sell my soul if my son could not have a

tantrum. I am traveling today and my 12 year old son came home from

school and within minutes had gone off on his (adult) sister. He was

even writing that she was a bi**h on the walls.

I think someone in the DC area was going to see a TCM practitioner.

If you are on this group, how is it going and who are you seeing?

Thanks to all fo you for your updates -Anne
