Guest guest
you can install any kind of internet browser you want. Your " portal " I assume is your internet browser. There is the micro soft version called internet explorer. This is Bill Gates. He wants you to use only this. Then there is Mozilla firefox. People not happy with the big corporations and thier alleged greed like to use this, and one reason is that is far more stable. This means that it works better, is far more secure, and much much faster. It's like putting a custom engine in your car. There is a browser called Safari, which is standard in a Mac, which is big corporation, called Apple, and Itunes and Ipod is related to this. Then there is Google chrome. This is a big corporation, but in competition with microsoft, and Bill Gates. Then you have a browser called Flock which is really cool, and new. So, there are many ways to not use the " my yahoo " . I personally use Mozilla firefox with NO TOOLBAR. I have a very plain looking desktop. I dont have weather, news, the latest fashions, and trends, and the SanDiego Zoo, like my mom has. She loves her computer screen to be as cluttered as possible. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ---------------------------- Some tips, with any browser, the settings are almost always found in tools. There should be a category called " options " in there. It is to your advantage to learn all that is available to you in your browser and computer in general.
