Guest guest
Has anyone's child been given a diagnoses of childhood disintegrative disorder? My daughter's new developmental pediatrician indicated CDD. From what I researched, when the child loses communication, social skills, self-help skills, while developping stereotypical behaviors after the age 2, it is CDD. What is the difference between regressive autism???? I don't understand why they give two different names under the same umbrella of PDD. Guest guest
Our twins had that dx too. Its basically the same as regressive autism, but it may make a difference in services. Find out which dx works better for your child and the services or insurance coverage. twinmonsters7 wrote: > Has anyone's child been given a diagnoses of childhood disintegrative > disorder? Guest guest
Hi I believe Doug Flutie's son has that label but they call it autism, too. http://www.dougflutiejrfoundation.org/ > > Has anyone's child been given a diagnoses of childhood disintegrative > disorder? Guest guest
I have heard of it. My child had a major developmental regression at age 4, and our pedia hinted that this might be the case. We have ruled our CDD as we have seen improvements in our child. ly, I do not believe there is such a thing as CDD. I think it is just another useless medical label that has a horrible tendency to convince parents that there is nothing that can be done. --penumbra > > Has anyone's child been given a diagnoses of childhood disintegrative > disorder?
