Guest guest
... would you please share the name of Dr. Star's book? Also, is Nature Thyroid sold by script? This is really interesting what you note about the thyroid supplement speeding up your metabolism, accelerating the use of your E. What was your TSH prior to? With all this speeding up of endocrine processes, do you feel more juiced? Guest guest
I have had to compensate with a huge amount of OOE to balance 4 grains of armour. I’ve tried reducing the armour, but I am napping at 4 pm if I do. The only solution was to raise and raise the E. I take a lot of T and P also, Thanks for commenting on this nne, I am still playing with this thyroid thing, LOL. I did notice on my labs, that I get increased SHBG when ingesting thyroid meds, so bucal or sublingual the way to go. I have some friends that use transdermal Armour...........I kindda creeped out, when I read the ingredients, and thought of it heading straight towards my roid, LOL. I am trying to add 1/2 a 75mcg Levoxyl in my AM dose....just gonna suck it, and then do 1/2 gn NT, lunch and dinner????? may need the NT in first dose too.......I am so clueless when it comes to thyroid, have been on the NTHgroup, and it is a bit overwhelming.......lots doing 5-10 gns.+ cortef, isocort ect.....I'm thinking alot of them are E-less, LOL........I see they get more problems during low E parts of their cycle, but seems they are E phobic over there. BUT a very friendly & helpful bunch, I guess they are with thyroid, the way I am with E, LOL......I have learned that thyroid is a big player, )) Thanks again nne, )) OH , what dose have you ended up with for E, T use??? I haven't been able to do any P, but thank goodness, I've got no parts, LOL. At this point 12-14mgs. OOE seems to be my new normal with the addition of thyroid )
Guest guest
10mg OOT ( 8mg am, 2 mg 5pm) Thanks for sharing that with us all )) now my question is where do you put your OOT? I was using a very small dose, 0.3mgs. BID, but my E level went sky high, so I stopped til I retest to see if that was what was doing it, LOL......good my doc didn't freek out. I started getting oilier scalp, and some mild breakouts, and chin hairs....on that tiny dose. I think I may have been PCOS, but no Ovaries now, LOL. My Test. level is low, but in range 38...so still working on that, I did see my DHEA jump up to 364, weird hugh, so looks like the Test fed both pathways, and didn't ck DHT, but that went up too??? Keep us posted when ya get labs, this is SO interesting to me, THANKS , ))

Guest guest
, What a great find! Those pictures are awesome. My son’s face has changed also with armour. He had puffyness under his eyes since birth. My husband had that too, so I thought he just got his eyes. Turns out they both need armour, and the bags are gone! nne ... would you please share the name of Dr. Star's book http://www.type2hypothyroidism.com/
Guest guest
, I feel that armour thyroid defiantly eats up the E. I don’t know about synthroid. My doc laughed when I told him that, because he said the woman tell him the E sits on the thyroid. I told him it does that too. They block each other out. If I have too much E without thyroid, I get very cold. If I have too much thyroid without E, I get anxiety. It is a balancing act for sure. I was on thyroid first and did fine, until my E production stopped. I have had to compensate with a huge amount of OOE to balance 4 grains of armour. I’ve tried reducing the armour, but I am napping at 4 pm if I do. The only solution was to raise and raise the E. I take a lot of T and P also, so I thing the speedy metabolism speeds thru all the hormones. nne While reading Dr. Star's book, seems true, that my body IS speeding the use of my estrogen now. I know E is suppose to bind E, BUT this does NOT seem to be the case for me. I have started getting hotflashes again, and have been on this same estrogen dose for a long time, the only change is the speeding up of my metabolism with the use of Nature Throid. I do feel better when I add more estrogen, and Dr. Starr's book is a great read, explains alot of what is going on.......in all areas, muscles, heart, hormones, ect.... Just for those who are having hotflash issues, and are using thyroid meds, this is a heads up :0 , thought I'd share:))))
Guest guest
, I am currently using ….every day for the last 2 months. 20mgOOE (8mg am, then 2mg every hour or two throughout the day, ending with 2 mg at bedtime) 10mg OOT ( 8mg am, 2 mg 5pm) 75mg OOP (50mg am, 25mg evening) 4 grains armour (2 grains in am, 1 grain at noon and 1 grain at 3pm) 15mg cortef (5mg each morning, noon and 3pm) I find when I take the armour and cortef, I need extra E to balance it out. I know it seems weird that I need the P in the morning, but I do. I have worked 7 months on this program, every hour, every day. It seems way over the top compared to anything I have read about. My blood numbers when I was at 12 mg E were still low. I haven’t tested lately but will soon. So many things have improved that I am sure I am right on track with the program. Luckily my doc is accepting. nne OH , what dose have you ended up with for E, T use??? I haven't been able to do any P, but thank goodness, I've got no parts, LOL. At this point 12-14mgs. Guest guest
, I think P balances or dries up the T. I was one that had used P for PMS for 25 years. I used it 2 weeks a month. Up to 800mg a day. It blocked the rage I felt with PMS. I realize now that I had high T as a younger person. The P was good for lots of years, until I was 47-48. Then it began to cause the symptoms it used to help. (sore breasts, cravings etc) I also think T ends up as E. I started with 3mg T before I needed any E. I always noticed E improvements, rather than the libido I was looking for. It took getting some E and up to 8mg T to have libido come around a bit. Still not strong though. My DHEA is still low and I use 50 mg a day for 8 years at least. I think I just need a lot of everything. I am feeling really good lately at least. nne Thanks for sharing that with us all )) now my question is where do you put your OOT? I was using a very small dose, 0.3mgs. More hair grows on the inner legs though. nne ..now my question is where do you put your OOT?
Guest guest
That is exactly what my doc said when I sprung the high levels I was dosing. He said it was more than most take, but since all my symptoms that had vanished, he was very pleased. He doses thyroid that way too. are you using Dr. Woliner????? I have to go to two, one won't touch my thyroid, LOLLOL, L

He is great I think. I had many symptoms vanish that I didn’t even know were treatable because I had had them since puberty. Things like sore fibrous breasts, urinary incontinence, fat around my belly (apple shape). All have changed since getting E. I think I lacked it all along. nne It's all about symptom relief:))) so glad you're feeling really GOOD ))
