For the past 5 months my 6 year old son has taken grapefruit seed extract as the antiviral. My doctor wouldn't give me a prescription antifungal to go along with the prescription antiviral, so I decided to only do the naturals. My son has made big improvements in his ability to communicate. He always talked, however, he never talked to anyone he wasn't familiar with. He really couldn't have a back and forth conversation. He is now initiating conversations with people he never talked to before and asking them questions. He is now interested in his peers.....He still is not where he is supposed to be, but he has made major improvements.

He did the treatment everyday religiously, but a few weeks ago I ran out of his supplements and was slow to get them. It was during this break that he made his biggest gains. I've read previously that sometimes it is good to cycle on and off the treatment.

He just had blood work done a couple of weeks ago and the viral titers are still very high. After looking at the levels last week the doctor decided she wants him on the prescription antiviral, so she ended up giving me a prescription antifungal, too. I've learned from this site that both are needed.

Grapefruit seed extract is an antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial. My son has not been sick (not even a runny nose) since he started taking it. Before he took it he had chronic sinus infections and was on antibiotics all the time.

some say it's antibacteria BUT in may kids it will FLARE bacteria issues as the yeast dies off leaving room for bacteria to slide in, espeically clostrida so beware not to use it for to long

It can be taken w/other supplements but not with other minerals.

Monolaurin, I don't know, you may also ask the group enzyme group of
