yes, we had a really great day yesterday - filledwith interactions! Let's hope it continues!>> I just read this - wow!> > http://tcmforautism .blogspot. com/2008/ 12/day-11- 122.html> > --penumbra>

Are you using Dr. Peng? We just had a phone consult with him yesterday

and am eager to get started with TCM.

I just read your blog and my 5 yr old son, is very similar to Ty. Very

slow responder to everything, no play skills and shredding paper is one

of his favorite " pasttimes " . Thank you for maintaining your blog. I

look forward to reading up on Ty's progress.

I, too, read your blog and find it fascinating. Thank you for putting so much time and detail into it. I laughed out loud when I read the one this morning where he was waiting for you to turn your back so he could turn up his DVD :)

Thanks ladies, I think it is really important to

document new interventions, glad you are all enjoying

the blog.

We are not using Dr Peng. I found a local Dr. that

I am very happy with. I am really intrigued with

a study I read about on scalp acupuncture and

stimulating language in asd kids. It is my hope

that we can get Ty calm and responsive enough

to attempt this with him some time in the future,

so I wanted a relationship with a Dr. near my home.

He also lists himself as a stroke specialist, which

peaked my interest after speaking with Dr Moulden

about microvascular strokes and Ty's vaccine reaction

at age 1 when the shot site hardened and he got so

sick.

We are paying $100 for 2 wks of herbs (and an initial

$30 consult). My Dr. makes his tea at his office, and

packages Ty's blend into daily dosages (about 1 cup a

day given split AM/PM doses). I think we are paying

more than Dr Peng charges for the herbs, but we aren't

brewing it ourselves, and again, I like the Dr. a lot

and am comfortable with his fee.

Will keep you updated on the blog!

Do you have a reference for the scalp acupuncture study?
