Guest guest
Hi Cyndi N, Thanks for your kind comments about the autism encyclopedia website. Hopefully this will help our mb12 valtrex community to collaborate more effectively. Notwithstanding Crystel's comment about the eyedrops containing toxins, which may have merit, motor tics typically involve an impaired methylation pathway effecting the basal ganglia. I realize this is techno-speak, but it offers a point of departure for research: ref google: methylation pathway motor tics DAN! Dr. Derth If you notice the eye tic problem dissipates 30 minutes or so after the dmb b12 dosing, then I recommend you considered methy-b12 injections or nasal spray. As a cautionary note about chelation in general (not TD-DMSA). My son had a language regression after we used oral chelation along with bentonite clay baths. Metal was removed, as evidenced by macroscopic metal in the stool. About 2 months later, we later learned that his glutathione (GSH) levels were very low. In this scenario, loosely bound metals can be pulled from connective tissue throughout the body and deposited in the digestive tract. This is counter to the primary goal of healing the gut/immune system. Ultimately, we want to lower the metal burden in the body so that the brain metal can be drawn out by osmosis (no one knows of a chelating agent that draws metal out of the brain). Moving it from the bone to the gut, without sufficient detoxication support may be harmful. I believe Kim echoes this gut-first approach (as does my DAN! doctor): see item 1 under common sense: http://www.autismpedia.org/wiki/index.php?title=Treatments/Getting_Started#Commo\ n_Sense Finally, to the point, you should consider adding a glutathione supplement. The easiest route may be Rx TD-GSH or GSH suppositories. We also like GSH liposomal and broccoli. --penumbra > > Thanks for your response and that link...what a beautiful boy and such a great resurouce! > > Here are the bio-med therapies we are using: > Rx meds: ketoconazole for yeast (have also used Difulcan and nystatin) > Chelation: DMSA transdermal > Ddaily supplements: spectrum complete multi, calcium w/ D, magnesium citrate, l-carnitine (carnitor), enzym-complete, coq10, selenium, brainshild's minerals, CLO, candex, therbiotic complete, threelac, zinc, mb12 powder, folinic acid, p5p, dmg w/ b12 & folinic acid, epsom salt baths... & I need to add gse and milk thistle. > > If you see anything above questionable or missing please let me know. > > Thanks! > Cyndi N > > PS We live in northern VA and see Dr Megson (DAN) . > > > [sPAM] Re: new-BLINKING reaction to dilating drops-tic > > > Yes, it all started with my 5 yo ASD son at age 4 with a blinking tic. > > We did an MRI and lumbar puncture, and both were normal.
