Guest guest
Our DAN says that our 2 year old son is getting enough me B12 (how she writes it) from the VitaSpectrum supplement we give daily and doesn't need more. But the back of the vitamin jar says B12. Are they the same thing? I hear such amazing things from you all about your experiences with MB12 shots or sublingual - especially for you kids like my son - great receptive language but poor speech. Thoughts? Thanks!! Guest guest
Hi Ellie, Oral supplements are processed through the digestive tract and are often malabsorbed. MB12 spray and sublingual, are absorbed directly into the bloodstream, via veins near the surface under the tongue, and inside the nasal passage. MB12 shots, are injected right into the body. With shots, there is variation as well. Most people find noticeably better results when the shot is given in the bottom, rather than in the forearm. It's generally accepted that shots and spray are most effective, sublingual is next effective, and oral B12 is least effective (if at all). Apart from autism, B12 is known by the mainstream medical community as requiring direct administration into the bloodstream. When I was vegetarian, I had to visit my doctor regularly for a B12 injection. Guest guest
You might try visiting Dr. Neubrander's website for more explanation. http://www.drneubrander.com/dev/index.html Many times kids cannot process the B12 in their vitamins because of their GI issues. We tried MB12 shots with our son different three times over several years. The third time he was on TMG and Folic Acid supplementation. Our son had high expressive language but was mostly nonverbal with terrible apraxia and auditory processing issues. The third time was great. Our son started singing whole songs and reading out loud after two shots. We were so impressed we asked to increase his dosage to three times a week even though I hate giving the shots. Good luck, Kay Berry
