Guest guest
The same here. He didn't offer, I asked because of other people saying that he told them to just take a multi-vitamin. I agree, with . I do these things periodically removing supps and then adding them back in one at a time. Because I do believe that the child's body can get used to certain supps and not do a thing for them anymore. With the herbs being new to the body I want full attention from the herbs to see what, if any, reactions this may bring on. This will save me hundreds of dollars by not having to reorder any supps for awhile. Like anything else we do for the kids, trial and error..........................I am hoping to have some great results as a few people have reported. I will give it three months for any reaction, negative or positive. Judy ````````````` He didn't offer me the option. I had to ask him. He never said anything about stopping any of the supplements. I realized this after our consultation so I called him again and asked him if I should stop any of them, he said to stop all of them except a multi vitamin if I wanted. I think its good to stop them all, it allows us to see how this is working and it allows the herbs to do their job. Some of the things that we give our kids are also in the herbs, like all the antifungals. I am happy to give up all the numerous supplements for now. I want to give the herbs a chance to repair their bodies and then later on down the road if my children are lacking a particular mineral like zinc, magnesium etc. then I can add that, but hopefully the herbs clean out their systems and allow it to work efficiently so that they absorb the minerals they need through the food they eat. I have always hated the amount of supplements the kids had to take and I hope this helps them not to need them all. The other things my biomed doctor told me once that after a child is on a supplement for a long time it can turn on the body, especially if the body no longer needs it and we don't realize it and keep giving it to them. I think this is a good break for us to take right now so I am not upset about stopping them all. When my son complained about drinking the tea I said would you rather take all your vitamins then? He automatically said nope I'll drink the tea. That's how I get him to drink it, since he hates taking so many supplements in the morning before school. I wouldn't stress about it if he tells you to stop giving all of the supplements to your child. If he/she reacts badly you can always add them back in. Our biomed doctor tells us to stop things every so often, give the body a break and see which supplements are still needed. I was really scared to stop them, and honestly I haven't stopped EVERY single supp, but pretty much. I think Rei wasn't asked to stop hers, still not sure the why the difference Anyway, mine has been doing relatively well on the tea (we're on day 13), however, I'm still trying to determine an appropriate dose for her along with a proper sweetener. I think she's doing better in other areas but her gains are more subtle. She did seem more sociable yesterday and more patient with so many people around. Usually with large gatherings she ends up downstairs in her room with the little kids, but that didn't happen yesterday, AND she even had a stomach ache from the tea (but I think it's because I've been using xylitol, I think I'm gonna switch back to honey) Life should be easier. Guest guest
I am waiting for my herbs to come in the mail and have been reading all posts regarding them. I am not too concerned about stopping all supps. EXCEPT TD DMPS....we are chelating and I worry about redistribution. Can I get an opinion on maybe taking activated charcoal for a few days to help absorb the floating metals? Not sure how much and how long if that is a good route to take though. Just wondering how to approach coming off a chelator. Also, just " talking out loud " ...I am totally worried he will not even drink it because it sounds like it tastes and smells pretty bad from what I am reading...hoping for the best, don't want to have wasted money. Thanks everyone.
Guest guest
I stopped all my chelation when we started the herb. Dr. Peng's herb combination has function of detox toxin as well, but it is a different theory than DMSA, DMSP, or ALA. The herb combination is to activate liver's detox function and start to work with all organs to detox unwanted stuff in our body. So, it is not something adding into our body like DMSA to chelate toxin, it is a natural way to wake up or train our body to detox on its own. My son had metal re-distributing experience before, pretty scary, but all we experienced from herb is mild, safe, nothing like regression, or die-off struggling, yet, we can see him getting healthier and stronger and calmer, and more clear mind everyday. Even you worry about floating metal, let the herb to teach the liver how to get rid of floating toxin on its own. You will see the difference day by day. First of all, you will see better sleep at night, wake up with a calm and good mood, and open up mind, more awareness, these are the signals of reducing toxin... Guest guest
Although I do Dr Yasko's protocol, supporting the methylation cycle for the child to detox on his own (which my son has done tremendously for the 2 yrs on her protocol), I was wary for this reason to pull his supps. What we are seeing is an increased calm and engagement, but he is tanking in the pottying area and the new verbal stimming aspect on day 10 now of the herbs. We have experienced very similar detox reactions on the herbs, similar to some hefty UTM pulls on Yasko, so I agree with Rei, the tea is causing detox from the liver. I am going to hang on to " no supps " a little while longer, but I can't deny it is very difficult for me to watch some of the regressions. If I hadn't seen them so many times with Yasko detox, I would probably be freaking out (well, I am kind of freaking out, lol) but my point is, I am willing to stick it out for the sake of a true herb trial! Hard decisions to make however! > > > Subject: Re: new to the group--Dr. Pengs info > To: mb12 valtrex > Date: Monday, December 1, 2008, 8:17 AM > > > > > > > I am waiting for my herbs to come in the mail and have been reading all > posts regarding them. Guest guest
In regards to the taste, I started my son on the powder with water and added in agave nectar. By the 3rd day, my son prefers it without agave. As long as I have enough water mixed in he doesn't seem to mind the taste. With all the other supplements in the past that he had to taste this one is not too bad. He is 6 years old.
