Guest guest
Hi - Great news! We have had amazing success too since last week. Normal poops in the toilet on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and today! This is UNHEARD of after a year of no more than one dry pellet-like poop a week combined with leaking and impaction. An entire week of normal poops, with one minor bout of diarrhea on Wednesday night maybe due to too much MOM... The only think I have been consistent with is pro-biotics. I stopped everything else since the diarrhea Wed. night. I think the pro-biotics are making a huge difference now without all the other stuff (Aloe, Benefiber, Vit. C, flax seed, MOM.) Our GI doc was stumped after the colonoscopy and biopsy showed no issues, so suggested we try eliminating cow's milk products as that can sometimes cause digestive allergies that result in such severe constipation. He tested negative on skin prick allergy tests to cow's milk, so I was skeptical, but I also think this must be playing a major role in his improvements. I HATED to do it thinking I'd have to find a substitute he'd tolerate, but this time just decided not to substitute milk (he rejects any other types) and just give him diluted fruit juices for thirst. Anyway, congratulations on your success and think about cow's milk products as a possible cause to the constipation if you haven't already. A one week trial should be very telling and was soooo worth it in our case. > > THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally threw out the 80% of Miralax > that was remaining in my son's meds/supps shelf! > I started up-ping his vitamin C. I also started Aloe Juice and he had > a real poop today!!! I got him to eat some Kirkman's chewable > probiotics too. He usually gets his probiotics mixed in with his > supps. > I was going to go try to locate the chewable Milk Of Magnesia > Chewables too. > Hope I am on the right track!!! > Oh, and the fermented food thing is my new research topic! :-) > <<<HUGS>>> ~ >
