tonsils and adenoid removal - this Friday

Hi - Anyone have their child's tonsils/adenoids removed because of

recurrent fevers and strep? My ENT doc is a believer in PANDAS (some

aren't) and Pfapa (periodic fever syndrome). The recent fevers are

probably more related to the anti-virals stirring things up. But he's

already had three cases of strep this year and when he gets strep he's

so miserable and he can get it without symptoms.

My concern is doing this during the anti-viral/anti-fungal treatment

but both doctor and I feel the tonsils are no good.

My son had out just his adenoids last year while on Valtrex and Diflucan. He

did very well with the surgery. Prior to the surgery, we did extra glutathione

to help him prepare. He stayed on his medicine and took 2 days of a antibiotic

prescribed by the ENT to help with the healing.

My son had a lot of strep infections but is negative for PANDAS.
