Cracked Tooth Amalgam - Breastfeeding

I just cracked a molar in half this morning while eating. My amalgam is completely exposed in my mouth. I can't see the dentist until 3. I think I've found a mercury free one. However, in the meantime, my son still breastfeeds pretty regularly even though he is almost 15 months old. I've never refrained from breastfeeding him and have no milk stored. Is it safe to breastfeed him? I'm thinking not, but I don't know for how long. My oldest is autistic, so I'm very concerned.
