Hi-

I've followed the exchanges about Chinese Medicine( Thanks Rei ) and I decided to give it a try, yesterday we went to see Dr. Li Li in Santa Fe,

she didn't seem familiar with autism and after some questions said that she could not reverse his condition but maybe improve it, when she saw the list of supplements I give my son she said that i should not give my son all this vitamins because his liver has to work so much harder and got upset when she saw the vit k, she said it was dangerous to give vit k.

She also question me how i knew he had inflammation, bacteria, why i thought he had a need of all this extra supplements, etc. I mention the DAN protocol and explain about it but in the whole i don't think she is familiar with the world of autism. I left with her the list of herbs that Dr. Peng is using and she said that she is going to try to help my son in the area of speech and to help with his hyperactivity. I'm supposed to pick up the tea next wednesday. She is a nice dr., I'll give my son her tea and hope for improvements...

How interesting...

When we visited Dr. Peng the first time, I did not mention a word---autism. Dr. Peng by looking at my son's behaviors, the way he walked, he talked, and can't sit still, non-stop touching things in the clinic... and Dr. Peng told me he has yeast overgrowth problem, plus the way my son talked and interacted... I did not tell Dr. Peng much, and did not tell him what supplements he was on ( because he did not ask), and then Dr. Peng told me he has to think through will come out a solution to design a herb mix that can help my son on all the issues that presented to Dr. Peng at the visit.... and here we go from there until all these improvements today....

My underrstanding is western names of disease- such as autism, ASD... are not neccessary applied to TCM. TCM has its own names of disease, such as "heart phlem", or "weak wind in the body", "twisted heat in kidney"...... I know it sounds weird and funny.. these are the direct translation from ancient Chinese terms into English... But TCM sciens works and proof through my son. Let your TCM to rule out what your child has or what bothers your child's conditions....

Sincerely, Rei

Merry, you may go to www.autismpedia.org, select "treatment, select" supplement", select "herb", select" Dr. Peng". You will find out more information about Dr. Peng and other interesting stuff.

Sincerely, Rei
